16 Sep Thinking about moving yourself?

If you don’t have much, it might make sense to move yourself. If its busy season you won’t be the only one thinking this, so call a rental truck company ASAP to see if they have a truck for you. Be aware that sometimes they don’t adhere to your reservation due to previous customer delays, broken down trucks, etc. They may or may not call to inform you of this, so we recommend you call them to confirm. Not trying to scare you, but we’ve seen it happen.
Once you have the truck, you need the right equipment. Get the pads to protect your things while in transit, tools to take things apart, and dollies, where needed, to make transport a lot easier. If you don’t have this equipment, you can rent it for an additional charge.
Once you have the truck and the equipment, you need the people power. Can you rely on your friends/family to help? Sometimes things come up that makes volunteered help less reliable. Be prepared for last minute changes in plans.
Use pads, bubble and shrink wrap to protect your fragile items.
If you don’t want to have to think about all of this, call in the professionals, and we’ll take care of everything so you don’t have to.
